The friendly host made us feel right at home, providing delightful insights into the area's stunning coastline and activities. Breakfast was a treat, particularly the self-handled orange juice squeezer—an unexpected personal favorite that added a lovely, fresh start to our mornings. Our room, complete with a small terrace, offered a cozy retreat where the sounds of the bustling street melted away, letting us soak in the serene ambience. Beyond relaxation, the hotel is a perfect base for adventurous souls, with opportunities for kayaking and windsurfing literally at our doorstep. In short, Hôtel du Petit Matelot is a gem that truly caters to both adventure lovers and those seeking a peaceful getaway, a wonderful blend for any traveler, particularly those like myself keen on embracing both activity and relaxation in the stunning backdrop of the Bay of Biscay.
